(Essen/Cairo, July 16, 2009) The joint venture company was founded in Cairo together with DB Schenker’s partner for many years, ITS International Transport Service Ltd.. The new provider of logistical services is headed by DB Schenker and is active in the Egyptian market.

This step will enable us to provide even better, high quality end-to-end solutions across the entire process chain in this very promising growth market,” said Dr. Detlef Trefzger, as Schenker AG Board member responsible for Contract Logistics/Supply Chain Management, as well as for the Region Near Middle East/Africa.

DB Schenker founded its own company in March in Saudi Arabia, and in August 2008 a joint venture was founded in Dubai.
