DB Schenker has started a merger with SHTL company
(Prague, 7 April 2010) - The integration of DB Schenker and Schenker High Tech Logistics will facilitate offering global services to clients from demanding IT sectors and medical engineering technologies. Thanks to the merger DB Schenker will gain not only considerable technological advantage, but also three major customers.
„The merger of both companies means a very important step, by which just in the Czech Republic alone the subsidiary network extension by two new terminals and an increase of number of employees in 150 persons will occur. By merging with SHTL we have gained three major clients. Two of them are leading global corporations from IT area and the third client is Systagenix Company, top European medical devices manufacturer,“ says Tomáš Holomoucký, Director of Schenker Company.
New locations of DB Schenker can be found in Modletice and Strančice, Central Bohemia. „Both terminals can boast state-of-the-art equipment, namely both in terms of logistic processes and safety. The top level in the two areas has a key role for high-tech clients,“ explains Zdeněk Kašpar, Director of Logistics Section of Schenker Company.
According to Zdeněk Kašpar the integration of both companies brings a lot of opportunities. DB Schenker will make use of new logistic processes and expand the scope of provided logistic services. „We will pay great attention to reviewing all processes and completing organizational changes. Our objective is to preserve top level of our services and optimize operating costs,“ adds Zdeněk Kašpar.
